Home owners pay a ground rent to the park owners for the plot on which their home is sited. This is usually charged on a monthly basis and covers the running costs associated with the business including maintenance of the communal areas and landscaping, roads and such factors as security and electricity for streetlights, sewerage and maintenance.

Other costs are much the same (or slightly less) compared to living in a bricks and mortar house. Council tax is lower in a home as they are classed as Class A Band.
